Your Rowing Sportstest™

The rowing Sportstest™ is suitable to athletes of all levels, and the appointment would include the following:

• A one-to-one appointment with Dr Garry Palmer, lasting approximately 2 hours.

• An assessment of your training history (to see where enhancements can be made).

• Full consideration of your specific training goals.

• Assessment of your physical characteristics, to include accurate measurement of weight and body fat, and optimal (but sensible) targets for you to achieve your ideal training and competition weight.

• Provision of nutritional targets (where appropriate).

• Full physiological assessment on Concept II model D ergo, including assessment of your VO2 max, maximum heart rate, endurance capacity, submaximal efficiency and threshold determination.

• Calculation of fuel utilisation at race and training intensities (if required).

• Provision of scientifically determined (not predicted) heart rate training zones, specific to rowing.

• An individual tutorial on training programme design.

• Planning of training phases, specific to your needs, to help meet your performance goals.

• A sample training week, specific to your fitness levels, competitive goals, training availability and commitments.

• Plus, the chance to ask any training related queries you may have!

 

The cost of your rowing Sportstest™ is from £165 to £195, dependant on test location.
