Dr Garry Palmer, coach, athlete, exercise physiologist and author of a number of training books will deliver a three hour session on how to optimise your nutrition for sport.
Whilst the session will be targetted towards the endurance sport, particularly running, cycling and triathlon, Dr Palmer has undertaken extensive work with team sports (including premiership football teams), combat sports (as part of the support team for English karate at World and European championships) and F1 motor racing, so the information delivered will be targetted to meet the needs of the audience.
The aim of this 3 hour session is to help you improve your nutrition.
In this session we will cover:
- Basic nutrition
- Optimal nutrition for training and competition, including:
i) pre exercise strategy
ii) nutrition and hydration during sport
iii) optimal recovery from exercise
- Achieving weight loss for performance enhancement
The session will be designed to help you get more from your training time, and enhance your recovery to help you elevate your performance!
There will be an opportunity to ask question during and following the session.
